Frodo The Mahdi and the Ring of Power

Prophet Muhammad explained how the Mahdi will be immune from the attraction to power…one of the many aspects Tolkien stole for his Frodo character
“Frodo is a hobbit of the Shire who inherits the One Ring from his cousin (referred to as his uncle) Bilbo Baggins and undertakes the quest to destroy it in the fires of Mount Doom.”

Frodo is not tempted by the ring of power to the extent that other people are. While Gandalf fears even touching the ring, Frodo accepts the monumental task of destroying it. He is immune from its corrupting influence.

Here is just one example of what happens when someone other than Tolkien’s Mahdi comes in close proximity to the ring. Notice how level headed Frodo is about the ring as opposed to Boromir.

This hadith explains the Mahdi’s aversion to power and rule. Paraphrasing ‘The seven learned men decide to elect him as their leader so he flees from them several times, running back and forth from Mecca to Medina.”
…Each time coming up with some reason why he’s not their man. When they finally catch up with him for the last time, they threaten to kill him if he refuses to be their leader.
